Advanced Fluid Painting Class

Deeply immerse in the boundless possibilities of this medium!

Participants in this class will already have their pour painting chops and will be ready to expand their unique vision by learning to control the materials more predictably. They will be introduced to enhancements like glass and mica chips, metallic powders and more fun techniques, including the “Dutch (air blow) Pour”, “Paint Kiss” and “String or Chain Pull”. Students will mix their own paints and use a variety of tools and additives. Wear your play clothes or borrow a smock; invite family or friends, and bring a camera to capture the creation of your painting to share the fun experience! This class can be repeated many times to experiment with different color combinations and techniques, getting a totally different result each time.

Class time: 2.5 to 3 hours

Cost: $150 for two people or $65 per person for groups of three or more people. Materials included to produce ONE 10x10”, 12x12” or 11x14” (or two 5x5”) AND ONE 16x20” canvas paintings – extras are available for additional cost if time allows.

Reserved by the group, with a minimum of 2 and maximum of 8 participants per group. Class date and time is scheduled after purchase, with availability on weekdays, afternoons and weekends. Plan ahead to reserve your spot! *Paintings will dry in the studio for one week to a matte finish, and an optional gloss spray finish is available for $15 per painting. Paintings can be picked up at the studio when they’re ready, or carefully packed and shipped by request.

With an adult, respectful children over 10 years old are welcome; larger groups and off-site corporate group classes are available – inquire for more information.

COVID-19 Guidelines: Please stay home if you feel sick at all, or have recently been in contact with someone who has COVID or cold/flu symptoms. Masks are require in the building, and please wash your hands or use hand sanitizer upon entering. Classes are now offered by the group “pod” to help provide a safe place for people to come enjoy a good time with family or friends, while also trying to help reduce the spread of illness.
